Delhi Live News: Hours after the civil unrest erupted in Jahangirpuri in northwestern Delhi following the Shoba Yatra scheduled to mark Hanuman Jayanti on Saturday, Delhi police have arrested 14 people on charges of inciting violence. One of the suspects who opened fire is one of the detainees. A firearm used in crime has been recovered from his possession. Other investigations are ongoing, according to police.

 

A small fire broke out at the Uphaar Cinema on Sunday morning. Firefighters received a call at 4.46am and nine tenders were rushed to the area. The fire was extinguished within two hours.

In line with a trend over the past few days, Delhi continued to see a spike in Covid-19 as it reported 461 new cases and two deaths on Saturday. In a study of 8646, the positivity level increased to 5.33 percent.
